This role will work with infrastructure teams to perform an upgrade of the current 4.x Vsphere environment to Vsphere 5.x. This includes the planning, developing, installing, configuring and optimizing servers and related components. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues during the upgrade.

Primary responsibilities:
• Provide escalation support for clients during the VMware upgrade on a global basis.
• Develop/Deploy VMware best Practices.
• Develop short-term corrective programs / process and long-term process redesign
• Interacting with cross functional project teams as an advisor or team member.
• Participate in improvement plan strategy.
• Create metrics to measure effectiveness and efficiency (capacity planning, etc.)
• Provide strategy, analysis and operational deliverables for global initiatives. This includes operational analysis, process re-engineering analysis and management.
• Represent Operations and work closely with other functional groups to develop work synergy.
• Develop a toolbox of best practice analytic methodologies and approaches used to help improve the efficiency and maturity of the outsource model.
• Provide support for forecasting and budgeting process, as needed.
•The Ability to create and read technical documentation and interpret System Architectural Designs for engineering and project planning.
•In-depth technical knowledge of VMware products.
• Experience in managing global enterprise VMware Environments
• Windows, Citrix experience a plus.
