Senior Java Developer/Architect – 4-month contract

Candidate must have very strong financial/derivatives background

Rate: $80/hr corp

 

 

Department Function: 
The Derivatives Business Control Group provides services to Derivatives Middle Office and Operations (DOMO) and business partners including but not limited to: Long Term Care, Variable Annuities, Treasury, and Manubank. The Business Control Group documents business processes, conducts user acceptance testing, manages and resolves projects and work requests, and liaises with Technology to ensure accurate execution of initiatives. 

Accountability: 
Reporting to the Manager, Derivatives Business Analysis, the incumbent is a technical enhancement and development of derivatives operations by analysis and providing solutions related to complex processing in OpenLink trading system plattform. 

Responsibilities: 

• Liaise with business analyst to understand problem statements, providing system design and implementation solutions 

• Recommend technical-function and workflow improvements and assess performance issues/risk 

• Provide input on planning, implementation and technical support during building, testing and deployment of enhancements/customizations 

• Conduct technical feasibility and validate solution options for the requirements. 

• Perform code reviews of deliverables 

• Provide documentations of technical specifications, user support and deployment instructions. 

Education: 

• Bachelor’s Degree required in Computer Science or related field. 

Technical Skill Set Requirement: 

• 3+ years of OpenLink AVS /JVS development experience (param, main, ops_service (pre/post), #include) 
• Deep understanding of OpenLink functional architecture and data model
