Rate: $55/hr on C2C

As a Database Administrator for the SAP Infrastructure team you will become a member of a Global Support team responsible for providing both database and system administration for the 150+ SAP databases that span across multiple database platforms. 

 

Currently the platforms include DB2 z/OS, DB2/AIX, and MaxDB on AIX. 

 

Additionally you will:

 

·        Apply and modify internal processes and procedures to conform to changing software or business requirements.

·        Participate in the team on-call support rotation and be available for off-shift problem resolution or project related coverage.

 

What it takes

 

We need an individual with five (5) years of experience with DB2/AIX Database and System Administration in an SAP environment.  You will need the ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly and thrive in a team environment.  Ideally, you would have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent IT experience.  We also require:

 

• 5 years experience providing Database Administration support for the DB2 LUW environment (i.e. backup and recovery, reorgs, runstats, database cloning).
• 5 years experience providing Database System Administration support for the DB2 LUW database environment (i.e. creating new DB2 systems, applying database maintenance)
• Strong problem resolution/analytical skills required to understand complex system interactions. 
• Experience with Database high availability technologies (i.e. HADR)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral). 

 

A strong candidate will also have:

 

·        Willingness to develop skills required for supporting multiple database platforms.

·        Experience supporting the SAP application running on DB2 LUW.

·        Windows SQL Server Database Administration experience.

·        DB2 z/OS Database Administration experience.
