Role: SAS Analyst

Location: Chicago, IL

Duration: 1 + year

 

 

Skills: SAS, SQL, UNIX, Mainframe

 

 

Technical Skills:

- SQL in an Oracle database enviroment (2 years) with a focus on campaign execution processes (or other multi-step processes).  Skills should include all types of joins, unions, sub-queries, case statements, partitions, sequences and a wide variety of functions. This is not principally a report writing position.

- SAS (Unix, PC, Mainframe) - Base SAS, not statistical analysis or enterprise miner (2 years).  Primary SAS coding is in data step processing, SAS skills should include macro language, ODS, Proc SQL, Proc Report

- Unix environment familiarity (Navigation, Moving and Copying files, grep) - primary work environment for SQL and SAS.

- Mainframe (TSO) environment familiarity - secondary environment for some ancillary processes.

- Audit development and thorough validation skills are expected as flawless execution is the standard.

- Excel Pivot Table experience is a plus.

- Excel VBA is a plus.

- PL/SQL is a plus.

 

Other Skills/Traits:

- Patience and the willingness to alter previous work to meet re-written requirements is very helpful.

- Knowledge of Fair Lending and the Fair Credit Reporting Act is a plus.

- Flexibility on working hours.  Timelines are designed around a 40-hour work week, but emergencies and the need to complete work on a specific day occasionally arise to meet campaign delivery schedules.

- The individual will be expected to create and/or update documentation as processes are developed
