Android Developer - REMOTE WORK 2 MONTHS

In addition to the really good Android development, They need to know the following:

Socket connections with webServices.  Parsing webService responses, and not just being able to download a file:

                Java.net class

Java.nio (we are not using this, but may in the future)

                Sax parser, Document parsing.

Extensive threading experience, including AsyncTask, post/postDelay threading, pooling, and using Handlers

They should know what throws a NetworkOnMainThreadException (happens when doing HTTP calls on the Main thread)

Know how to debug in Eclipse.

Experience writing apps with the latest API’s starting at 13(honeycomb) and up (ice cream sandwich)

If they don’t know the following, then they are not strong in JAVA, and these are core concepts in our app:

·         Reflections

·         Soft References, Hard References

·         Atomics (atomicInt, atomicBoolean, etc)

·         Singletons

·         TreeMap, hashMap, ArrayList
