Job Title: DB2 Database administrator
Location: Monroe, LA
Mode of Hire: 6 Months Contract

PRIMARY SKILLS:
DB2/ZOS, IMS
DESCRIPTION:
· Providing support to System Administration (SA) in database installation, instance creation, instance upgrade and version migration.
· Designing system storage structure and planning future storage requirements (design & analysis of file systems, logical volumes, raw containers)
· Database backup & recovery (offline & online backups Full, Incremental & Delta Incremental). Database cloning using redirected restores.
· Database monitoring (free space in tablespaces, event monitor outputs, security audit reports, performance reports etc.).
· Database performance tuning and troubleshooting & fixing problems faced by application developer
· Query tuning for the problematic queries sent by application developer or identified during database monitoring.. Developing tools using shell/AWK scripts to automate various database administration
jobs. Managing Database user privileges (granting & revoking permissions after proper analysis & approval). Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to document work.
· Extensive knowledge of platform specific core database and operating system technologies

PRIMARY SKILLS:
Understanding of Data Center architectures, experience in planning, design & implementation of Data Center infrastructure
DESCRIPTION:
· Understanding of Data Center architectures, experience in planning, design & implementation of Data Center infrastructure
· Deep understanding of TCP/IP protocol suits
· Good knowledge on Application Acceleration and Optimization technologies
· Will be able to design, deploy & support Cisco data center products with hands-on experience in operation and configuration of Cisco network devices (e.g. routers, switches, Load Balancers, Storage
· Networks, Application Optimizers)
· Catalyst 6500 & other catalyst platforms product architecture knowledge and hands on experience is a must
· Experience on WAAS, CSS products is a must
· Experience on Nexus platform and ACE products is a plus
· Experience in leading a team in applying all elements of Technical Consulting
