POSITION         :         Linux Engineer

LOCATION       :         Dallas, TX

DURATION       :        6 months contract

Rate: $50-53/hr

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Linux / Solaris Engineer

Install, maintain and tune server operating systems, layered products and system utilities 

Support server operating system 

Plan, prepare and perform disaster recovery for server operating systems 

Write basic scripts for system utilities 

Support the transition of new services and migration of new servers/clients into ACS data centers 

Build systems documentation and follow standard, documented procedures for systems administration and engineering 

support 

Must have working knowledge of: Linux System Administration in a large enterprise environment, SAN Storage, 

Clustering 

Should have working knowledge of: Solaris Veritas Volume Manager, Networking, Veritas NetBackup 

All other duties as assigned.
