Senior SQL BI Developer with Data Migration
Location: Palo Alto, CA
Duration: 6 Months with Possible extension
- Lead and execute data migration activities that include data analysis, reporting, conversion, harmonization and business process analysis.
- Identify datasets for migration, test and validate the data sets from multiple sources, configurations and platforms.
- This position will work closely with Architect, Principal Developers, Project Managers and Business users.
Skills Requirements:
- 6+ years of solid experience with the Microsoft SQL: SQL Query skills, comprehensive understanding of table structure.
- 6+ years of Data migration experience with SQL Server and various data sources.
- Expert level data manipulation skills i.e. using Excel/T-SQL/SSIS/DTS for cleansing and formatting data before loading in to new systems.
- Experience using ETL tools.
- Programming experience in .Net is desired.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Agile/SCRUM Software Development Process experience is a plus.
- Experience or knowledge in one of the following will be a big plus and will influence the selection process:
- Sales, Order Management Applications/Business Process
- Manufacturing – Inventory Management, Production Execution
- Supply Chain – Production Planning/Forecasting
· Experience in development of custom ERP System is a plus.
Education Required:
- B.S. Computer Science or equivalent with at least 5+ years of progressive experience in the industry.
· Microsoft certification is a plus
