Network Engineer

Location: Downtown, Washington D.C

Duration: 5 Months Contract.

Rate: $43/hr on C2C(Maxxxxxxxxxx)

 

 Job Experience and Skill Requirements

·        5-7 years of prior technical consulting experience

·        Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or an equivalent

·        Certifications – MCSE and any one of the following — CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CNE

 

Excellent Hands-on experience with the following networking infrastructure, IPv6 migration

a)      Internet and Wide Area Networks

b)      Network systems management and monitoring tools

c)      VPN's and other remote access applications

d)      Knowledge of Switches, Routers, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, UDP, QoS

 

Excellent hands-on technical skills with experience of the following technologies.

a)      Esxi based VM Ware virtual guests – experience w/ installations & backups using (Veeam), CA-ArcServe, vCenter Server, VDR & Iron Mountain.

b)      Linux Red-Hat Servers

c)      Windows 2003 & 2008 Enterprise Edition Servers

d)      Blackberry Enterprise Server – Installation & management

e)      Active Directory 2003 & 2008

f)        Windows 7, Windows XP SP2

 

Excellent hands-on technical skills with experience of the following technologies,

a)      Oracle & SQL Servers Databases

b)      Email servers – MS-Exchange 2003, Exchange 2007 & 2010 (Experience w/ upgrade from 2003 upwards is plus)

c)      IIS Application servers

d)      MS SharePoint Servers

 

·        Auxillary Tools – Symantec Café (End point protection and Ghost), McAfee Virus Scan, Safeboot, MonitorIT, TrackIT, Double Take, GFI Languard, EMC Mail Tracker, Active KillDisk, Mobikey,

·        Team player with positive mental attitude

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·        Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

·        Ability to handle impromptu analysis and discussion with client and provide technology strategies / solutions based on industry best practices.
