FW: Full time requirement at NJ for oracle DBA

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

• Design, build, review and optimize SQL & PL/SQL
• Model, design, implement, optimize and support large OLTP databases
• Works with application development team to understand project requirements and design/develop conceptual, logical and physical data models
• Provide design and guidance for application development teams on database objects – schemas, view, tables, stored procedures, triggers etc.
• Create, document, and implement standards and /or complex modeling to monitor and enhance the capacity and performance of the database
• Provide assistance as needed in operational test plans and deployments for applications
• Manage Development database environment so that it runs at an optimal performance. This is where some operational DBA experience would be needed.
• Work with DBAs to understand the implications of changes to Oracle
• Specify, design, develop, and support ETLs, data-marts and processes
• Maintains individual tasks and project deliverables
• Thrives in a smaller environment with pressure of rapid change
• Communicates well across different teams, conceptually and concretely

 

 

 

Education & Professional Qualifications:

B.S. Computer Science/Engineer or equivalent computer-related education

Oracle 10g/11g Certification Professional or Master

 

 

 

Prior Experience:

·         5+ years of experience in Oracle Databases 10g/11g

·         5+ years of experience in PL/SQL development and , Data-Modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical)

·         •     Strong understanding of advanced SQL tuning

·         •     Strong understanding of data modeling from ERDs to higher-level information models

·         •     Experience with data modeling tools (Erwin Data modeler is a plus)

·         2 years of experience as an operational Oracle DBA

·         Experience in high-availability, high performance, large database environments is a plus

·         Strong understanding of core ETL architectural principles such as modularity, restorability, parallelization and table driven business rules

·         Experience with Oracle Data Integrator, Oracle Data Warehousing or Informatica is a plus

·         Experience with BI Reporting tools is a plus

·         Knowing GreenPlum is a plus
