Detailed Job Description:
We are looking for a well-qualified Informatica ETL Developer to support the implementation of SAP's Financial modules. The assignment is initially for a 6-9 month term with the possibility of extension. As a member of the project team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development, testing and execution of the data conversion and interfaces including Production Cutover.
Experience
Must Have:
· Must have solid communication skills
· Hands on Informatica ETL development with 8+ years experience
· Experience developing with Informatica's PowerExchange for SAP
· Must be comfortable with all aspects of intermediate-to-advanced PowerCenter development
· Knowledge of reusable mappings and sessions, custom session variables,
pre and post execution SQL, and workflow scheduling techniques a must.
· MS transact SQL skills for data validation
· Candidate must be able to articulate breadth of hands-on experience and
instill confidence in their ability to quickly come up to speed and integrate into existing Conversion/Integration project team.
· Ability to work with cross-cultural, diverse, and geographically distributed teams
Nice to Have:
· Familiarity and experience with SAP FICO and BW modules a plus
· Familiarity with Insurance industry practices
Role and Responsibilities
The role of the Informatica ETL Developer is to ensure that existing source data is correctly and completely transported into the new SAP structures in accordance with the solution design.
· Will work closely with the IT and Business Analyst resources in creating the detailed code for both data migration and interfaces between legacy systems and SAP.
· Construct the extract/transform, transfer and audit components through use of the Informatica tools or custom developed procedures
· Will design and develop complex ETL mappings, sessions, workflows and identify areas of optimizations
· Will participate in data cleansing activities and error correction tasks
· Will work closely with functional design team to ensure that the business requirements are satisfied by the conversion and that the converted data is thoroughly validated by the data and process owners from the business.
· Will develop and execute test scripts and data audit reports that can be used during testing cycles and for final cutover
· Works closely with the business representatives and functional analysts , IT support staff, and offshore development team
