INTERVIEW MODE - TELEPHONIC Description:   Information Technology Software Engineer CLIENT is looking for a high energy Software Engineer to join our talented technology team. CLIENT actively leverages technology and processes to meet its business goals. The Software Engineer will be responsible for the design, development and testing of enhancements to core business process systems and will work directly with the business to understand business needs. Specific Responsibilities – Design, code, test and deploy enhancements to core business process systems. Support and maintain the existing code base though refactoring and fixing reported bugs. Work with users in all departments to gather requirements for software enhancements and provide suggestions for process improvements. Investigate areas for improvement in current code base and development processes. Requirements – Attention to detail and a passion for software development. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. An interest in deep learning about the business domain and business processes. A high level of knowledge and practical experience with Object-Oriented development. Experience with an Object-Oriented language such as C#, Java, Ruby, etc. Experience with web development. A large degree of experience with database design and query development, specifically with SQL Server or other database engines. Familiarity and interest in agile methodologies such as Scrum, TDD, Refactoring, Continuous Integration, etc. Considered a plus – Knowledge and practical experience with ORM tools such as Hibernate/NHibernate Experience designing distributed systems utilizing tools such as NServiceBus or other enterprise service bus systems. Practical experience with agile development projects and technical practices (SCRUM, TDD, etc) Education and Experience – Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. 5 - 8 years as a Software Engineer.
