NEED JAVA FRONT END DEVELOPER

10 or more years technical background and 6+ years directly related web experience.

Description:

Acts as the highest-level technical expert on the development and implementation of highly complex, large-scale internet and intranet applications on diverse platforms, crossing multiple business lines.
Uses expert knowledge of web technologies, including C++, Java, Java Script, HTML, CGI, XML, Perl, ASP, multimedia applications, database modeling tools and/or database interactions.
Evaluates systems specifications for client area web site requirements and determines and implements the most efficient and cost-effective software/package solution.
Provides leadership in researching and tracking new web technologies, developing service applications, and analyzing business requirements as they pertain to web-based systems.
Oversees system quality assurance and consistency with installation and security policy and standards.
Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff.

They are looking for a senior developer to develop a market data retrieval service to access TradeWeb data through the Reuters RFA Java API.
The successful candidate should have 8+ years of Java experience and 3+ years experience coding with the Reuters RFA Java API for mortgage securities including experience with concepts such as authentication, threading, queuing, event listeners, performance tuning and implementation of the Reuters RFA Java API in a Java-based web application.
The application into which the data retrieval service will be incorporated runs under Java 6, Tomcat 6, and using Spring 3.1 and Hibernate 4.0.
The service will need to access Reuters data through existing in-house infrastructure.
Experience working with a geographically distributed team. Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Ability to come up-to-speed quickly and to deliver results incrementally.
