Job Specification Skills & Experience Required: Essential: Linux Sybase SQL Middleware Technologies (TIBCO, EMS) Worked in a support environment Desirable: Scripting Development Project management skills ITIL Knowledge Required: Essential: Experience of investment banking, FX Derivatives Desirable: Derivatives Pricing, Risk and Trade Capture systems experience An appreciation of STP Extra Notes (if applicable): The ideal candidate will be a hard working, proactive individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills who has a desire to drive continuous improvement and the ability to manage multiple tasks at any given time. Team Overview: The FX Technology team currently has 90 resources globally (and growing) geographically spread across Tokyo, Singapore, Shenzhen, India, London and New York. The team provides Technology solutions and service delivery to the Global FX business. The team is made up of two core units, RTB (Run the Bank) and CTB (Change the Bank). RTB is responsible for 1st and 2nd line support to the FX Front and Middle office teams, operating a 24*5.5 ‘Follow the Sun’ support model which is backed up by 3rd level escalation to the CTB development team. The team also performs release management, environment management, disaster recovery and power down co-ordination. CTB is responsible for mandatory and strategic project delivery to the FX Front and Middle office teams performing requirements gathering, design, development, testing, project management and governance. The team also provides a 3rd level escalation service to the RTB team. Role / Principal Accountabilities: This role sits within the FX RTB team who are responsible for supporting and maintaining the technology platforms underpinning the Global FX Cash Business. The platforms are state of the art in-house developed tailored for the Businesses requirements. This role requires the individual to: Provide 1st and 2nd line support to the FX Front and Middle office teams for FX Cash products Work in a high pressured environment across geographical boundaries and multiple teams to resolve issues, using incident and problem management processes where applicable. Build strong relationships with the business and gain a good understanding of their processes. Build strong relationships with key Technology teams whom we are dependent on.
