Job Description
Key Methodologies and Toolsets
. Strong competency with Java programming and J2EE-based and open source
technologies such as Linux shell scripting (e.g. Perl, BASH, Python, etc),
Apache Tomcat and Maven, GNU Makefiles, Java Servlets, Hibernate, Struts,
JSP, JUnit and JBoss
. Version control systems such as CVS, PVCS or Microsoft Visual SourceSafe
(VSS)
. Quest TOAD, ERwin, Embarcadero or UML
. Advanced Oracle SQL (DML) and data analysis skills.
. Experience and flexibility with JAD techniques, Waterfall, Stage-Gate,
RUP, Agile, SCRUM or other iterative methodologies.
. Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and creating automated
software unit and functional tests
. MS Office Suite, strong emphasis on MS Visio (wireframes, workflows for
processes and data integration) and MS Project.
. Experience learning new applications and tools (such as Wikis, content
management and collaboration tools).
. Strong competency and experience with rigorous unit testing, defect
tracking and bug fixing.
. Competent operating in Windows and Linux environments
. Data analysis experience with healthcare data. provider profiles, medical
coding, script and/or outlet data.
. Experience with defining and implementing business rules in a structured
manner.
