A minimum of 4-7 years of working experience as a Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator using SQL 2000/2005/2008 is required. Expertise in SQL Server database administration principals including configuration, implementation, maintenance, security, disaster recovery, availability strategies, migrations and upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Expertise in writing SQL code, scripts, and reports.
The position requires excellent organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills, including the ability to communicate solutions to users at all skill levels. Excellent documentation skills for recording the history of problem resolutions and product features are also required. Ability to establish effective working relationships with users, vendors, peers, and management; and to develop successful plans of action with minimal direct supervision is essential.
