Our client is seeking an engineer to participate on a small team developing client/server and internet/intranet software systems. They will work throughout the development lifecycle from design to support. Systems are built on the Microsoft platform and include a variety of applications from basic Office /VBA tools to enterprise-level .NET web and desktop applications.? Role will include:

• Interpret user requirements to develop technical requirements and program design documents for application software, utility programs, specialty software and databases.?
• Participate in certain aspects of user consulting, systems analysis, general systems design, vendor contracts and detail systems design.
• Assist with writing technical requirements and program design documents.
• Assist in developing systems and modeling and maintaining relational databases.
• Analyze and help maintain corporate data integrity, reliability, and security.
• Participate in software quality assurance activities, including code reviews and unit, system, integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Understand and complete necessary documentation for the application/infrastructure change control process.
• Perform debugging, data analysis, and system analysis as required.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and installations of software applications.?
• Assist with installations of new software releases and/or patches.
• Maintain accurate software documentation, and provide technical support for software, databases, and the corporate data architecture.

.NET Developer?Qualifications

In addition to a mandatory 4 year college degree, candidates must have at least a year of experience developing enterprise sites using various Microsoft tools (i.e. ASP.NET, C#, Visual Studio.NET, SQL Server 2005, VSS, VBA, etc..)? They also need to have a background in the data system (i.e. Stored Procedures, DB Design, etc?)? To gain this experience candidates will have been a major contributor and coder on at least one large .NET web (ASPX) project, authoring a major section of code that included data layer, business layer, and user interface pages.? Any experience with Excel Object Model for the presentation layer & VSTO (Visual Studio Tools for Office) is a plus.?
