Title: Sr. Managing Consultant

Location: Purchase North, New York

 

Job Description:

The primary role objectives are as follows:

• ensure that qualified analytics sales opportunities evolve quickly to closure through the development of clear and concise scopes of work, commercial pricing and outline delivery schedules.

• oversee delivery of all sold analytics projects, acting as the client engagement manager throughout the lifecycle of the project - ensuring deliverables meet agreed scope, quality standards, timelines etc.

• maximize follow-up project sales opportunities and other cross-sell opportunities.

 

Major Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensure sales teams are equipped to initially discover and articulate prospective client's analytics needs precisely. 

• Support client sales meetings at an early stage as "expert sales" to rapidly develop and precisely scope new opportunities.

• Ensure that delivery teams understand potential project scopes and can deliver against them in line with the proposed pricing and schedule.

• Recommend the commercial terms for all analytics projects – reconciling Development Services resource costs with client budgets, value-based pricing and Advisors marketing needs – so as to achieve overall Vertical revenue and operating income objectives

• Oversee delivery of sold projects – from initial post-sale kick off meeting to post-project review - ensuring the delivery is in line with the contracted scope of work. Advisors quality standards, timing schedule and contracted pricing, and that key learnings are captured for use in future engagements.

 

Role KPIs:

• Analytics project sales opportunity close rate and cycle time

• Analytics revenue and operating margin

• Customer satisfaction metrics

 

Key Skills:

• Strong analytical skills: can translate client needs into concise and cogent data analytics scope of compelling diagnostic and insights presentation which drives tangible value for clients.

• Business acumen: understands a client's business model and identifies how specific insights from our data analytics could drive value for that client. 

• Client management: builds trust and respect within client organization, and identifies opportunities for incremental sales

 

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

Education Needed:  Bachelor's Degree required

Licenses Needed:  N/A

Experience Needed:  10+ years experience in an analytical project scoping and client management role – ideally within a customer analytics environment with exposure to the retail/travel/lodging/restaurant sectors.

Languages:  English
