Position : QA 

Location: NY

Face - Face required ( Need locals)

Rate :   $40/hr on C2C

Primary job duties:

* Test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation and test execution.

• Defining and tracking quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status.

• Collecting and analyzing data for software process evaluation and improvements, and integrates them into business processes to address the needs of the business.

• Documenting all problems and assists in their resolution.

 

Preferred Skills:

- Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously and produce high quality products

- Strong problem solving and analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to assimilate new information, understand complex topics and arrive at sound analysis and judgment

- Test management capabilities a plus

- Experience testing mission critical Financial Applications

- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Self-Motivated and keeps abreast of current technology trends

 - Familiar with application development best practices

 - Well-versed in the use of Microsoft Office Tools

- White box testing

- Knowledge of Websphere 

 

Required Skills:

- 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience testing mission critical applications.

- Knowledge of web and non-web application architecture.

- Experience with Oracle 10 G or higher.

- Working knowledge of Automated Test tools (Compuware preferred).

- Grey box testing experience.

- Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word.

 

Critical Skills:

 - SQL query

- Automation Testing
