Position: ColdFusion Developer

Position Summary:

We are looking for a ColdFusion developer who has strong object oriented programming experience to support our technology team in the rapid development of highly scalable and robust web applications. An ideal candidate would be experienced in developing and optimizing enterprise class applications using ColdFusion 8 or 9 and the integration of legacy systems using Java, .NET and web services.

As a member of the technology team:

·         You will adhere to established coding standards in developing robust, scalable enterprise class applications

·         Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during development and implementation

·         Develop and execute unit tests

·         Participate in the planning and review of new releases and feature sets

·         Design and develop rich user interfaces with robust client side validation using jQuery and AJAX

Technical Competencies:

·         5+ years developing robust, high volume applications application for the web

·         3+ years experience with ColdFusion 8, 9

·         Experience in developing Rich Internet Applications using AJAX, CSS and xHTML

·         Experience with jQuery and dependency injection frameworks such as ColdSpring is required

·         Knowledgeable in object oriented design and inheritance

·         Experience with Source Control tools, Subversion, is a plus

·         Strong Analytical skills

·         Great communication skills to effectively work in a virtual team environment

·         Strong documentation and debugging/QA skills

Project Focus and Responsibilities

·         Development of the Knowledge Library Content Manager application, this application is being developed to meet the immediate business need to:

o   Capture document metadata in preparation for FileNet

o   Streamline and simplify the current document publishing workflow

o   Catalog and manage all documents as part of our ongoing consolidation efforts

o   Support aggressive content consolidation timelines

o   Capture and manage associate Knowledge Portal profiles in support of role or profile focused content
