Role: - Senior Weblogic/UNIX Administrator

Location: - Bothell, WA

Client: - Telecom

Duration: - 12 + months

No. of Positions: - 2

Rate:- Depend on experience

 

 

Required Skills/Competencies:

•           At least 7 to 8 years of experience on weblogic administrator with following skills;

•           Should have 2 to 4 years of hands- on experience in Weblogic 8.x, 9.x and 10.x administration.

•           Should have strong experience in UNIX system administration with shell scripting.

•           Should have good experience in system administration and support.

•           Extensive experience installing, administering, and monitoring tasks related to the support of Weblogic in UNIX environment.

•           Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

•           Be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of complex Web infrastructures and middleware.

•           Be responsible for building new weblogic environments in UNIX systems.

•           Manage the design, maintenance, problem resolution, and troubleshooting.

•           Work with application development groups to tune and troubleshoot their applications within the standard Weblogic environment.

•           Need to monitor system performance; identifying throughput bottlenecks, recommending and implementing changes to ensure optimum system performance.

•           Develop and implement an optimal server configuration to support develop and test environments.

•           Able to develop, support, and maintain robust scripts to monitor and manage systems.

•           Knowledge of J2EE applications and the J2EE specification as it relates to infrastructure and deployments of applications.
