JD Edwards Consultant

Location: Monterey, CA

Duration: 3+ Months (extension up to 1 yr)

Rate: Open

 

EDUCATION:

B.A or B.S. degree with course work in systems analysis and design, plus 5 to 8 years relevant business experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

·         Strong knowledge of JD Edwards World ERP applications.

·         General knowledge of several business areas and in-depth knowledge of finance, manufacturing cost accounting and application security.

·         Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) familiarity and understanding as related to financial systems.

·         Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills in the English language.

·         Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

·         Ability to perform systems analysis tasks including logic flow charts, decision trees, work process flow analysis, data flow analysis, logical data modeling and statistical analysis including sample statistics, trend analysis and queue analysis.

·         Ability to effectively present information and communicate findings, conclusions and recommendations to business management.  Able to respond effectively to questions from groups of managers, customers, peers and vendors.

·         Ability to motivate others to achieve the required business results and provide on the job training for other staff members.

·         Strong skills using Microsoft Windows and Office Suite of applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Internet Explorer and PowerPoint, Project and Visio) to aid in the effective communication of findings, conclusions and recommendations to business management.

·         Strong technical system fundamentals awareness and understanding; with the ability to participate it the delivery of application deliverables.

·         Strong planning and organization skills.

·         Self-starter, ability to learn and adapt quickly.  Highly motivated.  Committed to see problems through to resolution even beyond normal working hours.

 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

·         Consumer Packaged Goods/Food industry experience.

·         Software development and configuration experience.

·         Agribusiness experience.

·         JD Edwards World FASTR and Showcase Strategy skills.

·         Cognos Financial Planning skills.

·         Aldon Application Life Cycle Manager

·         Business Intelligence experience with end user tools and data repositories in star schema and/or OLAP configurations; Cognos8 Report Studio and Analysis Studio.

·         Foreign Language(s): Spanish.
