Position: Sr LAN/WAN-Voice Engineer

Duration: 6 mths +

Location: Livingston,NJ

 

 Desription:

 

 Manage high level Global Network Engineering Groups with the Plans, designs and implements Local Area Network's (LAN's), MAN's and WAN's Voice and Global VoIP and Unified Communications solutions / related enhancements or upgrades to support changes and growth within the technology enterprise.

 Primary duty is to design, test, and evaluate network systems, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), Internet, intranet, and other data communications systems.

Primarily tasked with designing or re-designing corporate network design schema as well as continually reviewing best practices and regulations to ensure the network is secure, optimized and redundant in service availability.

Further responsibility includes, implementation and management of all network based hardware resources and associated systems.

 

Education:

        Related Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

 Master Degree Desire Experience: 10+ years technology experience that encompasses systems analysis, systems and architecture design, application development, programming, and project management in both client server and mainframe environment, and web development, including 5 years experience in full project life cycle implementation for all applications supporting partnered company and divisions.

Experience with successful product/project delivery, strong financial return and customer satisfaction.

 

Knowledge and Skills

: • Ability to matrix manage across multiple systems and business departments managing staffs of 20-50 people

• Ability to manage technical issues, as well as planning, implementation, process reengineering, product development, training and maintenance issues for a major company

• Knowledge of project management, processes and tools in a cross-functional matrix team environment

• Ability to effectively plan, execute, control & close projects conceived to develop, design and/or implement technology

• Knowledge of project scheduling, estimation and management.

 • Client engagement, interaction and consultative planning skills

• Ability to execute cohesive project plans on time and within budget across several business areas.

• Ability to develop cross relationships with other AIG companies/divisions

• Ability to perform cost benefits analysis and economic feasibility studies

 • Ability to manage multi-million IT dollar budgets across several lines of business

 • Ability to develop financial systems to track project spends in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles

 • Ability to conduct technology package evaluations
