Job Title: Lead Administrator ( DB2 LUW/UDB)

Exp: Midlevel Consultant

Location: San diego, US

Duration: 6+ Months

Technical Skills

• 5 to 9 years of DB2 LUW/UDB database administrator on Unix/AIX and Shell scripting required.

• SAP experience highly preferred.

• Experience in Space management, and DB2 9 row compression.

• Experience in Instance and Database upgrades.

• Managing Re-org, Run stats utility, Managing Archive log files

• Backup and recovery methods including point in time recovery.

• DB2 node directory / catalog configuration

• Database performance tuning using DB2dart, DB2explain utilities.

• Trouble shooting database issues using db2diag and notification logs.

• Expert in SQL knowledge with ABAP programs.

 

 JC:

• Experience with 7x24 operations, with a high degree of sensitivity to system outages, and a focus on timely issue resolution and determining root cause of outages.

• Experience in performing all aspects of Database Management, including batch scheduling, organizing maintenance, communicating risk, and change management.

• Proven track record in large scale deployments; experience deploying, and executing major projects within multiple sites.

• Extensive knowledge of and hands-on experience with database mgmt tools, products, vendors and methodologies.

• Detailed understanding of database security.

• Understanding of Database concepts for large database environments

• Experience in the Healthcare Industry is preferred.

• Understanding of CFR 21, Part 11, HIPPA, and SOX

• FDA Validation experience a plus.
