Position: QA Tester
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Duration: 11+Months
Interview: Skype after Telephonic
- Communication skills are key for this team they must communicate very well both verbally and written.

- Defect Management Oracle and Strong SQL Scripting Quick Test Professional (DB Checkpoints PLUS)
- Linux
- JMS Messaging
- XML, XSLT, XPath, SOAP ,Web Services, soapUI, loadUI (PLUS)
- Excellent analytical/problem solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
General Summary:-
- Structured tests will be developed to evaluate Back-end Distributed Architecture Systems with complex Oracle DB data structures
- Applications developed in JAVA (J2EE) using: o JMS o JDBC o JAXB o MDBs o Web Services o Strong server side background
- The successful candidate will be testing on all phases of the application development life cycle including system, integration, performance, volume and user acceptance tests
- Participate in the overall coordination of system requirements, test planning, test execution, defect and risk management to meet business requirements/specifications for significant projects.
- Provide deliverables for all levels of testing
- Assist in the identification and resolution of complex problems.
Summary:-
- Responsible for developing and executing software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes.
Education/Experience:-
- Bachelor's degree/equivalent in computer science, MIS or related discipline
- 7+ years of experience is systems development/programming in the skills the Client is requiring Skills and Competencies
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology
- Knowledge of computer development software, such as Microsoft Visual Basic, Linux, JavaScript, etc
Job Duties and Responsibilities:-
- Oversees projects / products from inception to successful delivery.
- Provides technical leadership and responsibility for technical excellence on all projects/initiatives.
- Design test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures
- Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
- Develop testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability
- Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
- Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content
- Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
- Create or maintain databases of known test defects
- Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
