IMMEDIATE START:Business Data Analyst-QNXT(CA,6+months)..


Location:    CA-California/San Francisco
Duration:   6+Months




ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 Perform problem investigation, evaluation and recommendations of claims/encounter files by trading partners

·      Work closely with colleagues to identify data related problems and solve discrepancies or data integrity issues.

·      Perform overall data analysis of inbound data into EDW, including provider, members and claims/encounters for various data sources; i.e. files, SFHP transaction systems including but not limited to SFHP's managed health care system, QNXT.

·      Assist in data analysis in support of prototyping canned/scheduled reports/extracts

·      Perform ad hoc analysis on health care operations data including QNXT and EDW

·      Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses

·      Work with business owners and IT resources to define data and document mapping rules

·      Proactively monitor source system changes for data impacts and communicate resulting data warehouse modifications

·      Work with ETL Developers to build or enhance data loads & extracts

·      Serve as QA resource as needed on projects pertaining to data flowing into and out of EDW

·      Build analysis and monitoring processes as needed

·      Assist with documenting requirements for improved automation as needed

·      Communicate data enhancement needs with management, ETL developers and report developers

·      Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned

 CORE COMPETENCIES / KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

 Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills with the ability to formulate and communicate recommendations for improvement.

·      Strong SQL and MS Excel skills to support data analysis on a daily basis

·      Familiarity with process design and documentation methodologies, and design and production of quality deliverables, process and use case modeling, business case development.

·      Understanding of information systems, business processes, the key drivers and/or measures of success for the healthcare industry, particularly the Payor market, managed care and State-sponsored programs

·      Ability to produce accurate and precise work, detect discrepancies and resolve discrepancies all while meeting deadlines.

·      Ability to work effectively, independently, and as part of a team.

·      Strong organization, time management and multi-tasking abilities.
