Title: ArcGIS Consultant

Location: Ft. Worth, TX

Duration: 24+ Months

 

Requirements:

 

·         Development of GIS applications, web based map services, and sys/app support administration of the engineering GIS applications and environment. Development efforts include the ability to create and maintain mapping services that are intuitive, visually appealing, and properly tuned to perform well in the server environment and on the web. Design experience with mapping caches is a plus.

·         Duties include: Install, configure, and maintain ArcGISServer application instances for the TS Engineering team. Create geoprocessing scripts to manipulate data within ArcSDE feature classes.

·         The successful candidate should possess a strong understanding of coordinate systems and various map projections, and should be able to create and maintain various geo-processing tasks via scripting or programming languages.

·         The successful candidate should possess the ability to work with and convert between a variety of data sources, including but not limited to, ArcSDE Feature Classes, shapefiles, .kml/.kmz files, and .csv files.

 

Required Technical SME areas:

·         Esri ArcGIS Java Script API

·         Esri ArcSDE

·         Esri ArcGIS Server

·         Java, JSP, JavaScript, HTML

·         Ability to work with shapefiles and file geodatabases

·         SQL

·         Familiarity with Linux / Windows operating systems

 

Desired Technical SME areas:

·         Python or similar scripting language (supported by ArcGIS)

·         Ajax, Dojo, JQuery

·         WMS / WFS

·         DB2 Spatial Extender

·         Strong cartography skills
