Applications Developer– Web (JAVA)- Senior
Requirements:
Location: State of Nebrasca.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- At least 5 years software development experience including at least 3 years developing large-scale software in a team environment.
- At least 2 years Eclipse.
- At least 4 years of Java Coding Experience including at least 2 years J2EE Coding experience.
- At least 2 years of MS SQL, XML, JSP, JSF, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript coding experience.
- At least 4 years of HTML Coding Experience.
- At least 2 years experience with JDBC.
- Must have excellent communication, analysis, and design skills.
- Systems software development experience, including broad exposure to the software development lifecycle. Experience in analysis, design, solution development and evaluation of alternatives.
- Experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle and workflow, estimation and target date planning, work plan development and monitoring, stakeholder communication, quality assurance, development methods/techniques, testing methods/techniques and implementation planning and execution.
- Experience establishing, maintaining, and supporting through on-call an appropriate technical development environment for Internet Applications.
- Experience coordinating production support activities of a team, with focus on timely and accurate resolution of issues.
The following requirements are preferred but not mandatory for this position.
- Experience with Application Server technologies including, but not limited to: Apache Tomcat, Oracle Weblogic, Jboss, Geronimo or Glassfish
- Experience managing projects with a project management tool such as Microsoft Project or Clarity.
- Expertise mentoring in Internet Application development and design techniques.
- Experience with Linux distributions including, but not limited to: SUSE and Red Hat.
- Expertise in FTP between AS/400, Mainframe, and PCs.
- Mobile application development and HTML5.
- Experience with Digital Certificates/Signatures.
- Experience with LDAP.
- Experience with Jasper reports.
- Experience with Nebraska State Government
