Urgent position : COGNOS TM1 Administrator

Location: Raritan, New Jersey

Duration: 6 months initially

Looking for TM1 platform engineers only and any amount of TM1 architecture/design/development experience is not going to count for this position. Candidates with good experience in TM1 platform setup (installation, configuration, testing) for good sized environments, will only be considered for interview. Need to have experience as Cognos administrators as it is likely that they have handled platform engineering for various Cognos products (including 1-2 TM1 setup).

 

Job description:

 

Overall 5 to 7 years experience in IT, with minimum 3 years in Cognos TM1 administration

Should have designed complete architecture for a TM1 project

 

TM1 System Engineer

·        Description:  This person manages the server environment, manages application operations, such as system monitoring, automated tasks, and other processes that occur during the life cycle of the application and manages infrastructure changes within an organization.

·        Responsibilities:

o        Manages capacity
o        Manages releases and environment maintenance
o        Coordinates system availability
o        Manages and integrates security
o        Responsible for maintaining the server environment
o        Manages User and Data Security.
o        Manages Data Processes within the developed application.

            Administrator- TM1 systems/security administrator certification

 

In addition to the skill sets above

 

• Responsible for TM1 Application Initial Design & implementation, per TM1 Architects design on SBX, Dev, QA and Prod environments within J&J Infrastructure, Standards, Security, etc. 
• After deployment, provides L3 support, TLM (Release management, Patch Management), New Capabilities engineering.
• Has successfully implemented TM1 in an global enterprise environment with 1000+ users geographically dispersed.
• Demonstrated success integrating  TM1 with Cognos Reporting, Teradata, Informatica or other data warehouse systems.
• Experience in deploying TM1 on Windows Server 2008 with Active Directory, Web (TomCat, IIS 7) and Citrix integration
• Demonstrated success in providing L3 support  and troubleshooting TM1 application issues including network, web and application performance, application scripting, TM1 application security.
• Understands how TM1 Cube/Model structure and rules impact server performance. 
• Knows how to set up and interpret TM1 application performance and security models and monitoring.
• Basic understanding of modeling TM1 data structures; specifically in a Teradata environment.
• Experience developing ETL processes using Turbo Integrator
