URGENT POSITION : SR.DOT NET DEVELOPER

. NET Developer:

Location- Detroit

 

Responsibilities Include:

Analyzes the functional requirements and design documents and translates them into software modules

Follows defined application development standards for .NET development in delivering the required software.

Follows industry standards, patterns and best practices for .NET development techniques in implementing business rules

Demonstrates ability to pick up new technologies and build applications integrating with web services and other back-end modules

Participates in weekly status meetings with the manager and delivery leads

Keeps in touch with the latest .NET technology and continues to develop his/her technical skills

Responsible for unit testing his/her software modules.

Is familiar with industry standard IDEs (Integrated Development Environments) and the usage of source code control practices and repositories from within IDEs

Proficient in the use of multiple data access techniques including optimal SQL queries to inquire, insert or update data against standard relational database management systems such as SQL Server and Oracle.

Understands stored procedures and implements business rules by building functions and stored procedures as required.

Writes reusable code using object oriented design patterns

Collaborates with the rest of the team and is willing to be flexible to achieve team goals.

Assists the architects and lead developers in producing the relevant artifacts for the project

Assists team lead in building, deploying and releasing application builds

Identifies product or process related development issues and provides constructive feedback to the manager or the project delivery lead.

Assists in preparation of presentations or proposals for representatives or internal business customers as requested.

 

Job Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Experience:

Minimum of 4-6 years of experience of related technical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Knowledge:

Requires strong skills in .NET, C#, DHTML, HTML, JavaScript, data access components, XML, SQL, and stored procedures

Working knowledge of such platforms as Windows, UNIX, and Linux.

Understanding of relational database concepts, ER diagrams and Oracle, SQL Server database objects.

Progress database experience is a plus

 

Skills:

Strong technical and analytical skills

Strong system design and development skills

Ability to effectively unit test code

Experience in using IDEs for development and source code management

Proficient at using code debugging tools

Strong conceptual thinking

Understanding of different phases of software development methodologies

Good communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

 

Abilities:

Ability to troubleshoot and manage problems independently

Ability to keep up with trends and technologies involving the .NET, C# and web technologies

Ability to set and meet deadlines and manage diverse tasks across multiple software development projects
