The successful candidate will work with the LAN/WAN delivery team on an enterprise project to refresh network gear. This person will work collaboratively with internal and external teams, technical leads, engineers and architects, and vendors. The individual will work with the Program Manager to coordinate implementation schedules for both domestic and international sites. Additionally, the candidate will track implementation progress. Finally, the successful applicants will be expected to build effective working relationships with customers, vendors and ITS colleagues at all levels in order to maintain clear and open communication channels, to manage expectations, and to work together to achieve project success. The candidate will also participate in project process improvement and managing mini projects that mainly require oversight to ensure resolution.

 

The individual must be self-directed and have strong working knowledge of formal project management techniques. Must possess strong organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate precisely and clearly, both orally and in writing, with people at all levels. The individual must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem solving skills are needed, along with accuracy and attention to detail. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with formal project management experience, training or certification.

 

 

Education/Experience

•           Bachelor degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.

•           2-4 years’ experience required

 

Skills

•           Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time

•           Knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies

•           Ability to work well on a team and individual basis

•           Ability to work in a deadline driven environment

•           Review project plans to plan and coordinate project activity
