Our client located in Irvine is looking for an Application Architect to provide design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy. Develops application and custom integration solutions for one or more business segments; solutions include major enhancements and interfaces, functions and features. Uses a variety of platforms to provide automated systems applications to customers. Provides in-depth knowledge and skill regarding the integration of applications across the business segment(s). Determines specifications, then plans, designs and develops complex software solutions that have a significant business impact, utilizing appropriate software engineering processes - either individually or in concert with project team. Will assist in difficult support problems.
Recommends programming and development standards and procedures, and determines programming architectures for code reuse. Has in-depth knowledge of state-of-the art programming languages and object-oriented approaches in designing, coding, testing and debugging programs. Understands and consistently applies the attributes and processes of current application development methodologies. Researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the business. Viewed internally as a technical expert and important technical resource in one or more disciplines.
Duties:
1. Assist in producing architecture (software and hardware) artifacts for LPS - Applied Analytics line of products development and enhancement based on .NET and SQL Server technologies,
2. Produce software design, technical specification based on approved architecture,
3. Write code using C#.Net and other Microsoft technologies to build components of the products
4. Conduct code review of detail implementation with .NET development team;,
5. Implement critical piece of software on any important architecture, e.g., reusable proof-of-concept,
6. Implement the company's product development methodology in the development environment to ensure an iterative process is followed,
7. Deliver products within an aggressive timetable.
