Position: WCS Senior Developer/Lead
Location: Austin, TX
Duration: 6-8 Months+

Relevant Experience (Yrs) :
Experienced eCommerce Architect with more than 8 years of IT
experience including
At least 5 years of experience in leading the development of Java-J2EE
based eCommerce applications on Websphere Commerce v5.6 & above.
Excellent Knowledge of other eCommerce Platform like ATG
Experience on Checkout
Experience on My Account
Experience on Search Engines like Endeca & Web services
Should have led & responsible for design and development of J2EE based
eCommerce applications in previous roles.
Experience in developing customization for WebSphere Commerce
(Controller Commands, Task Commands, JSPs, Data Beans, Entity Beans,
Session Beans) using WebSphere Application Developer and Rational
Developer.
Experience with Catalog Subsystem, Member Subsystem, and Order
Management Subsystem and Payment Subsystem and WebSphere Commerce
Accelerator.
Experience in working with/integrating marketplaces as part of the
ecommerce site.

Technical/Functional Skills :
WebSphere Commerce v5.6 or above, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, EJB, XML,
JavaScript, HTML, and DB2. Search Engines like EndecaExcellent
Knowledge of leading eCommerce Platforms include ATG
Understanding of Software Development Life cycle
Understanding of Ecommerce/Web technologies, including UNIX, windows,
network, monitoring, storage, db2
Demonstrated breadth of IT knowledge ranging from Web Middleware, Web
Protocols, Java, eCommerce, Networking, Operating Systems (unix and
windows)
Understanding of J2EE application packaging and deployment to
implement and support scripts that automate the build and deployment
process using Ant or similar build tool.
Understanding of Search Engine Optimization would be an added advantage

Roles & Responsibilities :
The Senior Developer/Lead will be responsible for:
Lead the Development and support of large applications based on
WCS/ATG platform.
Monitor and tune platforms to ensure expected availability and
performance levels are achieved.

Generic Skills :
Ability to understand, Define, Architectural, functional & non
functional application requirements, validate business requirements
and validate technical design.
Ability to work with remote teams
Ability to manage project scope.
Ability to ensure quality of the delivered components.
Onshore / Offshore team management, capacity planning.
Offshore co-ordination for construction and testing of defects/BRs,
review and code delivery.

Education : B.Tech (Information Technology) or Equivalent
