Role:

Automated Tester 2398 – 6+ month contract (will be extended and could be out there for 1-2 years or longer)

 

2 references required in order for candidate to be presented into the client's VMS system for review. 

 

Summary:

Develop and execute automated and manual test scripts, in order to identify software problems and their causes, in a Service Oriented Architecture based environment. The technical skills include the ability to work with testing tools such as ITKOLISA and Quick Test Pro.

 

Required:

8-10 years of experience required

Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills

Strong ability to work independently and manage ones time

Strong mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback 

Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and programming concepts

Strong knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production running

Strong knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology 

Strong knowledge of software testing tools, such as ITKO LISA and Quick Test Pro

Strong knowledge of Agile software development methodologies

Intermediate to advance knowledge of databases, ORACLE preferred 

Agile

 

Preferred:

Experience in working with messaging systems like MQ, JMS (Preferred)

Prior experience in Cargo movement business (Preferred)

Unix (Preferred)

Duties:

Create automated test cases using ITKO LISA and Quick Test Pro

Create automated test scripts using QTP to test web portals

Manually test new functionalities, and automate them for future releases

Work with both LISA workstation and server 

 

Responsibilities:

Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor and will typically supervise one or more lower level analyst

Ability to lead scrum teams and report the progress of the team to upper management

 

Does Contractor Need Their Own Laptop?   Yes

Update to laptop specs: Windows 7 Professional (64-bit preferred to allow more RAM), IE 8, 4 GB RAM, Wi-Fi and Ethernet dual-core 2Ghz processor, instead of the bottom description. We just found out that one of the applications does not work with Windows 7 Home edition.
