Primary duty involves design work, specifically designing a tailored solution in order to meet a specific client request. Troubleshoots problems that involve trade-offs between cost containment and or timeliness of service. Articulates the business value and impact of technical and non-technical information and understands when to escalate issues. Provides effective production support including accurate problem identification, ticket documentation and customer/vendor dialogue. Delivers project and process documentation for small-to medium-scale projects. Must have a strong technology background to understand change requests and to recommend alternate solutions. Is often consulted by peers and seen as the informal leader on tactical problems. Performs all technical program tasks with minimal supervision. Must have strong project and coordination skills.
Role should include as its primary duty either:
(a) the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
(b) Design work (Design means a tailored design in order to meet a specific client request) or
(c) Programming (Programming means writing original programs using computer code that is intended for use on a wide scale basis.)
(1) Intermediate understanding of LoB technology drivers and their impact on architecture design (2) Intermediate understanding of performance and monitoring (3) Knowledge of more than one specific infrastructure technology (4) Intermediate understanding of best practices and JPMChase policies (5) Intermediate troubleshooting skills (6) Technical certifications as required This position should typically be used for a mid-level, more seasoned, fully proficient resource.
Support of Barracuda Web Application Firewall.
Migrating existing web based applications from one WAF platform to another.
Includes submitting firewall rules (zero requirement for making changes to firewalls).
Includes understanding HTTP/HTTPS, SSL certificate chains and 2 way SSL as well as creating CSRs and installing/updating SSL certificates.
