Network engineer, 12 yrs exp

 

Skill Set

 

 

Minimum  (5) years strong technical network engineering experience. Additional experience as a functional lead/manager or project manager preferred. Experience in the design, implementation, and operation of the following technologies & processes: STP, Trunking, QoS, DCE, SLB, TCP, UDP, Virtualized Hosts and Networking, Tier 1/2 ISP, Service Providers and Operators, IPSEC, SSL, VPN, Firewall, IPS, Content Filtering, NERC CIP, SOX, DHCP, DNS, NTP, SNMP, (Net/s/J-) Flow, Simulation, In/Out-of-Band Mgmt., Capacity Management, IP Addressing, OSPF AS, BGP AS, MPLS VN. Multiple Juniper platform experience highly desired.

 

Responsibility

Independently makes tactical decisions that can have million dollar per day ramifications (regulatory compliance and cost of downtime). While engaged in projects, leads and advises the project and line management organizations on the selection of technology and sourcing strategy ($1-$10MM) and coordinates tradeoffs of scope, schedule and budget with the project manager. Must be capable of passing comprehensive background screening for access to critical cyber assets.
