Position 1:

Title: .Net Architect

Location:  Maryland or Fredericksburg, VA

Duration: Six months plus

 

Position will be responsible for systems analysis and testing activities within an agile systems development team building custom application program interfaces and automated operations workflows for systems management. The role will also act in support of IT Service Management including service definition, service operation analysis and reporting, and process design.
Position requires senior level engineer with ability to architect, design, and develop engineering and systems programming solutions for the DDC automated data center management solution. Required experience includes Microsoft Windows Server engineering, use of Microsoft System Center tools, creation of Powershell scripts, custom .NET applications, orchestrations, and software-based workflows to deliver end-to-end services that span platforms, infrastructure components, and environments. Responsibility may also include customization of self-service portals, creation of APIs in support of platform and process integration, and solution design for SQL Server datawarehouse applications .

 

Job Description: Acts as a secondary response for technical support. Provides for complex products, including escalated issues, mainly to end users, along with developers and corporate customers. Provides support via telephone, written correspondence, and electronic media. Works independently with limited supervision. May provide technical training, coaching and mentoring to other engineers. May act as substantial technical resource in certain product areas.  (5+ year experience)

5+ years systems engineering and systems administration of a Windows-based environment. Expertise with Windows 2008 R2 and Microsoft application platforms including SQL Server 2008, Biztalk 2010, VS/TS 2010. Must include experience designing, deploying, and maintaining engineering solutions.
3+ years: script development for automation of systems administration 
3+ years: design, developing, and testing of process workflows 
Experience with System Center Opalis 6.3 or Orchestrator 2012 
Working knowledge of SCCM, SCOM, SCVMM, SCSM

Experience with platform virtualization and fabric management. Working knowledge of VMWare vCenter and SCVMM Hyper-V 
Experience in administration of Microsoft platforms and directory services 
Expertise deploying Windows Workflows and Sharepoint Workflows 
Experience in the use of Powershell to automate systems processes
Prior use of integrated toolsets to accomplish systems management functions
Strong record of results on complex infrastructure engineering projects
SQL Server high-availability engineering, SQL Server data warehouse services. 
Configuration of enterprise network and/or storage solutions 
Familiarity with TOGAF or other architectural frameworks
Familiarity with systems security and legal & regulatory policies including PCI, PCI 2.0, COBIT, ISO 27001.

 

 

Position 2:

Title: Midlevel Systems Engineer for the Linux Infrastructure Team.

Duration: 6+ months

Location: Maryland

 Job Description: Considered a specialist in a specific systems area or generalist in multiple system areas and recognized in their business unit. Significant domain knowledge of department products and systems. Serve as a system architect to plan, capture and manage requirements, analyze, design, test and document systems of moderate complexity and may lead system integration. Recommend new tools and techniques to achieve continuous improvement in systems development processes. Decisions may have significant impact on cost, schedule, and technical performance. Act as a mentor to engineers in additional areas including domain knowledge and lessons learned. Lead preparation of proposals and presentations. Estimate, track, and report project costs and schedules while managing scope & risk. May lead cross-functional / domain teams in a Project Engineering role. Provide input to technical & product roadmaps. Bachelor's Degree in applicable engineering or science field or six years related exempt experience plus eight years related exempt experience. Analysis - Seeks support and input from key team members before the start of an in-depth analysis of a problem. Cooperation - Fosters teamwork across the company, always acting the with best interests of the company in mind. Coordinating - Exerts consistent effort to ensure that all necessary information is supported internally and externally.
