JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duration           :  9 Months

Location           :  Framingham, MA

 

Required Qualifications:

 

Linux Administration

Sun Solaris Administration

Installing, Troubleshooting, patching and maintenance of Sun Series M servers

System Performance monitoring and tuning as required

Tru64 Unix

Unix Administration

Support of Oracle RAC clusters in Unix environment

Zoning Experience

Back-up Technology experience (ComVault, Data Protector or NetBackup)

 

 

Project Description:

·       Resource will be part of existing Client Unix / Linux team; ·       The first project the selected candidate will work on is the Archive Upgrade Project. He / She will set up new Sun Servers (Series M 3000 and 5000) with the OS, memory, disk, etc., and prepare them for use by the DBAs

Nice to have: (1) VCS or Sun Clustering (2) Advanced File system Technologies (e.g., VXFM, ZFS or ADVFS) (3) I/O Management (4) Oracle environment exposure (5) Public or private cloud experience (6) Brocade switches experience (7) Red hat or any other Unix certification (8) Healthcare Industry experience
