Job Duties & Responsibilities:

 Client is seeking a Tibco Systems Engineer. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for system design, estimating capacity requirements, installing and configuring Tibco AMX Service Grid , EMS Message Broker and HAWK Monitoring Software. Individuals in this role will serve as a liaison between personnel in the company's operations, infrastructure and application development groups. They will work on projects to develop applications and services that provide new or enhanced functionality to support the Retail, Institutional and Program Trading platforms. The Systems Engineer will be required to diagnose functional issues that require an understanding of TCP/IP networking, Java programming technologies and Linux operating system configuration (10% of the time). Application Engineers need be knowledgeable about code repository and versioning technologies. Application Engineers need to be able to script jobs related to automation, monitoring and configuration.

Will be required to support and build the environments for SOA services developed for deployment on the Tibco AMX Service Grid (40% of the time). This will require an understanding of Java programming technologies including but not exclusively JMS, JNI, JNDI and JVM configuration and management. They will be required to understand and have experience in technologies specific to the Tibco SOA products Tibco AMX Service Grid, EMS and Hawk. They will manage and configure Tibco Hawk rule-sets used for alerting and management of AMX and EMS (10% of the time). The Engineering Consultant will build out and manage AMX environments supporting internally developed services. They will be required to assist in problem resolution for the AMX services through the examination of log files, thread dumps and java profiling tools (15% of the time).

The Engineering Consultant will be required to configure and manage topics, queues and bridges need to support event messaging for enterprise services using the Tibco EMS brokers (15 % of the time). The Engineering consultant will need to be able understand and develop ANT and Linux shell scripts to support processes used for deployment and configuration.

Deploy, manage, monitor and maintain Tibco Enterprise Middleware. This is not a development role.

Required Skills:

-Experience with AMX, EMS and BusinessWorks administration, design and installation.
-7 to 8 years of applicable/related experience or 4 years equivalent experience and 4-year degree in Computer-related field
-Unix/Linux administration.
-Moderate scripting skills: Any of Shell Scripting, Java/JScript, XML and PERL.
-Experience designing logical and physical infrastructure layout. Application and data flow diagrams.
-Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
-Hands on experience with AMX, EMS and BusinessWorks.
-Experience troubleshooting AMX, EMS and BusinessWorks in a production environment.
