Position 1: OBIEE Report Developer

 

Location: IL (FTF is a MUST; locals/nearby preferred)

Duration: 6-12 months

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

•Must have strong report development capabilities and experience with OBIEE design and implementation

•In-depth knowledge, expertise and hands-on experience in creating aggregations and managing metadata using the OBIEE framework in order to optimize performance (candidate must be actual to clearly explain actual examples from past projects).

• Experience in the on-going management of aggregates and drill-paths using the OBIEE framework

• Knowledge and experience with normalized, dimensional and hybrid modeling techniques and approaches within the OBIEE Administrator tool.

•Provide knowledge transfer to other developers and will work closely with business analysis to help translate user requirements into BI solutions.

•Complete technical documentation to ensure system is fully documented

•Mentor and train IT staff by sharing best practices and lessons learned from past implementation efforts

 

Technical Skills: 

•Experience developing Business Intelligence solutions using Oracles OBIEE

• Demonstrated skills with business process modeling and requirements definitions

•Strong technical knowledge of OBIEE admin/metadata tools, security, user interface design, development and deployment of dashboards, analytics and performance management reports

•Strong communication skills (both oral and written) and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Proven ability and desire to mentor/coach others in a team environment

•Familiarity with TOAD or similar tool,

Plus

• Essbase experience 

•CTL-M or other automated scheduling

 

Position 2: OBIEE Lead Developer/Admin

 

Location: IL (FTF is a MUST; locals/nearby preferred)

Duration: 6-12 months

 

BASIC PURPOSE:

•           Candidate will build / manage all the OBIEE (10G and 11G) environments ranging from development thru the various stages of testing to production.  Additional responsibilities consist of the following:

•           Support the production environments

•           Assist the project teams

•           Manage migrations across all environments

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

•           Responsible for OBIEE Administration, Security, and Repository Maintenance

•           Maintain documentation on system environments

•           Setup environments for new projects with subject areas, folders, security and AD groups within the OBIEE environments

•           Review the migration request from the various project teams and perform the migrations of the object across the environments.

•           Patch production system following normal SDLC and Change management procedures   

•           Effective verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical people

•           Strong technical knowledge of OBIEE admin/metadata tools, security,

•           Experience installing and configuring OBIEE 10g and 11g

•           Experience in OBIEE security setup and configuration for 10g and 11g

•           Experience in performance tuning in OBIEE and gathering performance metrics for various measures in reports.

•           Experience with OBIEE admin tool, web catalog and rpd.

•           Experience in migration techniques for OBIEE components into various test and production environments.

•           Understanding of a DMZ environment to support the external customer facing system

•           Experience in troubleshooting issues on server and presentation side.

•           Knowledge of standard system development lifecycle concepts

•           Ability to gather, understand and document reporting requirements 

•           Multi User development, Configuration, Component and Release Management

•           Familiarity with TOAD or similar tool, CTL-M or other automated scheduling package, Perl.

•           Essbase experience a plus.

•           Informatica Migration for OBIA
