Position: Sr. QA Lead

Location: NY.

Duration: 6+ months

 

Note: CASH MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS EXPERIENCE IS A MUST

 

Job Purpose: Design and lead the overall QA program for a specific project or engagement while also performing key QA tasks such as test script development and execution, defect tracking, test coordination, and test environment verification.

Position Summary: Leads verification and validation activities across all phases of the software development life cycle to ensure that the software product conforms to the requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

•        Perform Test Estimation, Test Planning, Implementation and Monitoring Quality Assurance activities in the project

•        Validate (test execution, defect detection and test results reporting) that the software performs according to requirements

•        Review and audit products and process artifacts to ensure adequate level of quality

•        Collect metrics, analyze defect trends, conduct root cause analysis by working with project teams

•        Identify Quality Assurance related risks & mitigation plans and assist project leaders in solving QA issues

•        Perform other duties as assigned

 

Education and/or Experience:

•        Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a college or university

•        5-6 years of software development experience with expertise in testing

•        Excellent knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Test Life Cycle

•        Basic SQL skills (basic queries and simple joins)

•        Sound analytical skills to identify failure points

•        Strong communication skills

•        Excellent Process awareness

•        Good understanding of requirements management, release management, change management, configuration management and environment management

•        Excellent ability to perform QA effort estimation

 

 Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Technical certification preferred
