QA Analyst
Location: Parsippany, NJ
Duration: 6+ month contract
Our customer is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Quality Assurance Analyst. This candidate will be part of the customer's team responsible for participation in the positioning of their “Best of Breed” product in the Emergency Department Arena.
Essential Functions
- Perform all aspects of testing including smoke test, functional, system, and regression tests
- Work with cross-functional team testing fixes
- Log, track, and verify defects concisely
- Manage multiple QA environments across multiple customer configurations and product versions
- Administer issue-tracking software
- Work closely with developers and business analysts to understand functional requirements to create comprehensive test cases
- Familiar with SQL – creating and executing queries, etc. Should also know VB Scripting.
- Practical hands-on experience with automation tools – QTP required. TestComplete is a plus.
- Participate in cross-functional team investigating and resolving Level II Support issues
- Participate in cross-functional team to prepare software for deployment
- Coordinate with part-time/off-site QA team members
Education and Work Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent and 3+ years of hands-on software testing experience
- Strong problem solving skills
- Highly motivated with ability to work independently as well as be a strong team player
- Ability to step up in a fast paced environment and be accountable
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize/manage time
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Extensive Knowledge of EDIM and/or other ED (emergency department) EMRs
- Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
- High level of computer proficiency
- Exceptional communication skills, written and oral
