Job Title: SCM/Release & Build Engineer (ClearCase/Unix/Linux) 

 

Job Position Summary Description:

 

A challenging & exciting position is available for a Release and Build engineer to work closely with a large, global LTE platform SW development team by maintaining the development and build environment and keeping it constantly functional.  Enhance existing tools and introduce new ones to improve efficiency for all users and focus on resolving issues quickly on a regular basis.

 

Specific Role & Responsibilities:

·     

1.       Maintain a large distributed build environment of C/C++ source files under ClearCase

 

2.       Edit makefile and build scripts.

 

3.       Troubleshoot build problems

 

4.       Develop/maintain make scripts to run C/C++ builds.

 

5.       Maintain ClearCase with UCM usage development environment and assist developers in the resolution of issues related to ClearCase/UCM, build problems

 

6.       Work with teams distributed across the globe

 

Required Job Skills:

 

1.       Outstanding skill in debugging and troubleshooting build problems

 

2.       Ability to learn new technologies and understand and quickly learn the new applications and technologies.

 

3.       Ability to learn and understand new in-house developed usage model of ClearCase and UCM

 

4.       Strong knowledge of ClearCase with UCM usage model, ClearCase multisite

 

5.       Good knowledge of Solaris/Linux

 

6.       Good knowledge of Perl, CSH shell, bash, ksh  scripting  

 

7.       Knowledge of makefile structure especially written in make and Cmake

 

8.       Software Process: General knowledge and experience with software life cycle process.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

BS CS/EE (or equivalent) and 5 years of experience in maintaining large SW build environments.  Must work well in a team environment.
