Java Technical Lead

Relevant Experience (Yrs)

:

8 – 10(+) yrs

Technical/Functional Skills

:

  • Strong experience as Technical Lead in Java and a good architect experience as well
  • Working knowledge of Oracle database design and PL/SQL
  • Working knowledge of .Net and Java
  • Working knowledge of Integration technologies based on IBM MQ, WMB
  • Working knowledge of automated unit testing tools like Junit, Nunit
  • Knowledge of SOA
  • Focus on documentation and process

 

Leadership skills

·         Lead matrixed development teams in delivery of solutions, both bespoke(custom built in-house solutions) and COTS (Commercial of-the-Shelf) product

·         Proactively engage key stakeholders to ensure all requirements are captured and addressed in the solutionTake a lead and be responsible for solution design which meets GSK policies and architecture standards

·         Ability to do end-to-end design review of solution(s) and approval of the same

·         Ability to work and lead (technically) in multi-vendor environment

 

Team and Communication skills

·         Ability to communicate with Technical and non-technical personnel

·         Able to proactively identify  issues and seek resolution

·          Able to keep a team of developers motivated

·          Produce high quality documentation relation to solution/product

·          Ability to work with PM to provide time estimates and project milestones.

·          Manage task allocation to developers

·         Should be able to work in onsite-offshore model

 

Methodology

Agile delivery with experience of leading a development team through pair programming and automated testing practices.

 

 

Experience Required

 

: 8-10+ years of Development  experience with minimum 2 years as Technical Lead

Roles & Responsibilities

:

The TL will be expected to provide leadership and consultation on technical matters ; work with various groups to define the targeted architecture , technical specification.
