Job Description:
Looking for a Senior Oracle DBA to join the DBA team to support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. With deep and thorough knowledge of Oracle Database, architecture and software development methodologies and practices, this position is responsible to participate in day to day life cycle support to design and develop dba components in support of various applications. DBA will be reporting into a Team Lead to provide updates and interfacing with clients to support the application needs. Excellent communication skills, organization skills, critical thinking skills are a must.
Daily Tasks:
- Support critical and accelerated projects.
- Create schemas or initiate database object changes in consultation with application project teams necessary to implement database design.
- Participate in database design / PL/SQL code reviews for projects and enhancements.
- Resolve SQL performance and data issues as necessary.
- Prepare development databases for project implementation.
- Follow existing processes and procedures.
- Duties also include SQL Tuning, troubleshooting, resolving errors and failures, documentation, knowledge sharing
- Develop and modify existing Unix shell scripts (Korn shell)
- Work with NOSQL databases.
