Job Description:
Note: Candidate must have experience installing DB2 v10 and it is STRONGLY desired that candidate
have experience skipping versions (e.g., client is going from v8 to v10 without installing v9).
Our current project requirement is for a DB2 Systems Programmer and involves installing/migrating DB2
related products.
The candidate should be proficient with installing DB2 V8/V9/V10 (10 preferred) and related products.
Could you please check if candidate has performed that the INSTALL process for DB2 products on z/OS
and provide a list of them?
Here is the description of the requirement for the job profile that is currently open at a life insurance
client, Lakewood, CA for Staff-Augmentation services.
7+ years experience maintaining DB2 systems V7 through V9, V10 preferred.
7+ years experience of SMP/E installation and DB2 installation experience. DB2 V10 preferred.
5+ years experience of DB2 Data Sharing installation maintenance and enhancement.
Knowledge of mainframe operation and z/OS interfaces.
Knowledge and experiences on mainframe DB2 related products support, installation and maintenance including but not limited to CA Platinum, BMC Mainview and Compuware FADB2.
Demonstrated good working relationship with application DBA's and Systems Programmers.
Scope of the work is -
Apply DB2 V8 pending maintenance required for V10 upgrade.
Implement and support DB2 V8 to V10 migration in test and Production
Mentor DBA team to manage DB2 V10 System programming processes involved (DBA services
are not required)
