Job Description: Unix/Linux Administration (Quantity: 2)

·         Perform general administration of servers in relation to project requirements

·         Perform new server creation where required

·         Perform incident response and problem management on in-Project servers

·         Maintain technical/process documentation

·         Follow incident and change management processes

·         Maintain (or create as needed) technical/process documentation

·         Ensure relevant Technisource support staff maintain the following skills:

o   Solaris 8,9,10 (+zones), HP-UX 11.11, Linux RedHat RHEL 3, 5

�  General Administration

�  Group creation and membership admin

�  Permissions admin

�  General troubleshooting

o   shell (ksh, sh, bash), perl scripting

o   Technical documentation

 

 Additional Notes:

Unix/Linux

·         Solaris 10, HP-UX being sunsetted, clustering

·         Understand Veritas EA tool, Veritas cluster management for HA and DR failover

·         Linux Red Hat (Rel 5) experience on VMWARE

·         Experience with Storage LUN configuration and manipulation

·         Must be able to do Data Migration from old volumes groups to new (mirroring or copying)

·         Shell scripting (mainly KShell)

·         Should have Net Backup skills.

·         Should understand use of Centrify to bridge AD to Unix
