Job Title : Junior Java Architects
Experience Level : 9+ Years IT
Location : Orlando, FL
Duration : 6 months
Must Have Skills:
· 8+ years experience in software development of which at least 4 years as tech lead with direct interface with business & architect teams.
· Experience with the following technologies is an added advantage: Core Java, EJB, XML, Mule or any ESB, Eclipse/RAD, Web Services (SOAP/REST), SOAP UI, JUnit with Oracle backend or experience in Centura.
· Ability to create system designs, engineer technical solutions with minimal to no supervision
· Previously designed and implemented multi-platform distributed systems with large transaction volumes
· Ability to clearly communicate and present to large audiences
· Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines
· An expectation to continuously learn and implement new tools, applications, technologies
· Ability to perform administrative functions like
o Deliverables Tracking
o Issues and Risk Log Documentation / Updates & Follow up / Escalation
o Program Risk Assessment
o Weekly Status Reporting to Delivery Manager
o Stakeholder Expectations Coordination & Tracking
o Project Activities Coordination / Facilitation
o Change management plan document
Desired Skills:
· Experience in Java or Centura
· Understanding of ICD-10
· Familiarity with test-driven development and continuous integration practices
· Managed the rollout of open source technologies in a corporate environment
Job Roles / Responsibilities:
· Coordinate between the back end systems and the client systems to define architecture and the interface between systems.
· Work with other product engineers, development and other engineering teams to maintain the technology roadmap by identifying candidate technologies and usage to fulfill the enterprise technology strategy.
· Define Technical Scope & Change Management Scope
· Define Business Process changes from technology perspective
· Identify changes to Application Architecture (Technology/Infrastructure/Architecture)
· Identify development Methodology Approach
· Provide inputs for Test Approach & Deployment Approach
· Define Deliverable Timelines/Milestones for project development teams
· Create solution definition document as required. Perform administrative functions as required.
· Create and document technology reengineering, consolidation and migration strategies that define a roadmap between current and future state while working within the constraints of existing software development plans.
· Assist with high-urgency issues affecting production systems in a time-critical manner while expediting root cause analysis and communicating appropriate remediation activities to development teams.
