Senior Developer

Looking for a senior Java developer with Search (Solr, Endeca, Mercato) OR Workflow (JBPM) OR Dashboard experience.

 

We're looking experienced Java developer with hands-on/knowledge in Search (Solr), Dashboard (JBPM), JBOSS SEAM, and high volume computing - **at least one of  them**.

You should be highly skilled in writing java and preferably have familiarity and experience in search technologies.

  

Key Accountabilities:

·         Designing, writing and implementing java applications on Linux or Solaris.

·         Good understanding of multi-tier (2-3) architecture

·         Participates in the full SDLC (Agile), including meetings, iterative development, estimations and design sessions.

·         Works with business analysts to understand and implement complex business functionality.

·         Delivering project assignments on time, within budget and with high quality.

·         Works with the Lead to write and review technical specifications as required, meeting the objectives of functional specifications. Specifically, identifying specific interfaces, methods, parameters, procedures or functions as required.

·         Collaborating with Architects and other Software Engineering resources in designing and implementing integrated, enterprise solutions.

 

Skills Summary:

·         Minimum of 5 years full life cycle development J2EE project and development experience.

·         High level of ability in writing java required

·         Linux or Solaris platform familiarity required

·         Spring MVC or experience with another Inversion of Control/MVC framework required

·        Tomcat, JBoss experience preferred

·         Tiles/Struts, Javascript,, Hibernate familiarity are preferred.

·         Experience with Search solutions preferred.

·         Able to effectively communicate across teams and roles.

·         Demonstrable ability to work within a highly collaborative team to deliver projects on time, with high quality, and within budget.

·         Ability and desire to take product/project ownership.

·         Ability to thrive in a can-do proactive environment
