Job Title: QA Software Testing Engineer

Location: Lexington, KY

Duration:6 Months Contract

Cloud Software Testing
If you are passionate about cloud computing, Software as a Service (SaaS) and setting up and running quality assurance testing for cloud solutions than we are interested in talking to you. Strong IT background in setting up servers (Windows, Linux), setting and configuring web servers such as Apache and Tomcats, experience in system and network administration for windows and Unix/Linux is required. The position requires working with remote Data Centers, VMWare servers, setup and imaging of hardware servers, ability to automate through Perl, DOS Bat or UNIX shell scripting, experience with network sniffers and ability to interpret data/debug and resolve complex network issues. Ability to test rich web applications and understanding of web 2.0 technologies is also required.

Primary responsibilities include designing functional test cases and developing and executing test automation, developing / executing stress and performance tests, identifying and driving bugs to closure. You will work with program managers, developers and peer testers to define, develop, test and deliver high quality feature components. 

Prior experience with test automation tools and web application test tools and test frameworks particularly Selenium would be a big plus. The ideal candidate should have 2+ years Java/C++/C## programming experience, rich knowledge and experience in databases (EnterpriseDB / PostgreSQL) preferred), 2+ years testing / quality assurance experience, excellent problem solving and communication skills and ability to quickly come up to speed on new technologies. The candidate should demonstrate solid technical background and commitment towards customers and product quality. A BS/MS in computer science or equivalent experience is required.
